There’s nothing better on a cool autumn day that had a soothing bowl of hot soup. This recipe requires very little prep work and will give you a delicious meal in about 30 minutes. Serve with a salad for a complete meal.
Combine water, lentils, onion, turmeric, and cayenne pepper in a large soup pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, partially cover, and simmer until lentils have disintegrated, about 30-40 minutes.
Stir in lemon juice, cumin, salt and pepper to taste.
